Ballarat Begonia Festival

 In News, Tuki Events

The Ballarat Begonia Festival is one of Australia’s oldest and most popular community events and promises to be even bigger in 2017!

Opened by Prime Minister Sir Robert Menzies, the Ballarat Begonia Festival is held within the Ballarat Botanical Gardens and has had the likes of Queen Elizabeth and the Queens Mother visit in the 1950’s. Aside from the popular Begonia Parade, the festival features an array of entertainment.

This year, celebrity gardener Jason Hodges returns in an inspiring series of garden talks, DIY demonstrations and all things flowers. With plenty of food and beverage stalls, live entertainment, farmers and gardener’s markets as well as a super sand pit for the young at heart, there is something for all to enjoy!

If you’re planning on attending the event, why not stay the night at Tuki Trout Farm. Located just a short drive from the heart of Ballarat, enjoy a delightful meal from our award winning restaurant or relax in one of our humble cottages following the event with panoramic views of the Stoney Rises region and beyond.

Date: Saturday 11th March – Monday 13th March 2017

Time: 10:00 pm until 5:00pm (each day)
